Born and raised in Columbia, SC, Kathy has always been making things with her hands. She received her Associates in Arts at Midlands Technical College. After taking years of art courses, she is familiar with a wide range of traditional mediums, which she uses to develop her visual library. It was her acceptance into the University of South Carolina’s Graphic Design + Illustration program that was the catalyst for honing her skills in typography and visual communication.
Kathy's design philosophy is rooted in understanding the client and the experience they want to create. She believes that great design is about creating a conversation that sticks. Whether she’s designing a logo, setting up a spread, or developing a marketing campaign, her work is guided by a commitment to function, accessibility, and creative expression.
